SDS: General Manager Jeffrey Campbell, here to make his address regarding the Thunderweight title match at the Valentine's Brawl.
DS (sarcastically): This should be good.
Campbell: G'day, Suva!
The crowd cheers.
DS: Cheap pop.
Campbell: Last week, the Fight Pit's number one contender for the Thunderweight Championship, Danys Vités, copped a bloody, ruthless, sick, sadistic, cowardly attack from He Who Wields Thunder, El Demonio de las Heladas.
The crowd boos loudly.
Campbell: And crikey, it was a proper dog act. (holds forehead while looking) Seeing him carve that kid's dial open? Didn't get a wink of kip after that one.
SDS: It was hard for me too.
DS: I was hard all night.
*SMACK!*
DS: OW! Should have brought the helmet.
Campbell (raises head, free hand on hip): Then on Monday, my 'esteemed' colleague, the GM of the Madhouse, AKA the bird who signs Heladas's paychecks, Ms Nalah Shabani, decided to chuck 'er two cents in.
More boos.
Campbell: And after playin' silly buggers and sendin' thoughts and prayers our way, she reckons, no bloody doubt about it, that if we don't find a decent challenger for her champ, she'll just make the Thunderweight title match at the Valentine's Brawl an "all Madhouse affair".
Even more boos.
Campbell (looks into camera): An' all I gotta say to that is, Nalah, come on, love. (chuckles) Give us a bit of credit here. I've got the perfect bloke for the job!
The crowd pops.
DS: He does?
SDS: WHO?!
Campbell (raises finger): An' let me tell ya- Actually... (points at big screen) he can speak for himself.
The big screen shows the inside of a dimly lit freezer, a large one where a single slab of beef hangs from the ceiling. A lean man in his underwear, with dark skin and bandages wrapped around his head and hands, steps into frame and turns his back on the camera.
SDS: Wait a minute. Don't tell me...
As he moves into a Shiko Dachi stance in front of the beef, a familiar voice speaks familiar words.
Vités (quiet v.o.): Li te... ewo... mwen.
An image of El Héroe conocido como Zero, in his signature white mask, high-fiving children, flashes. The bandaged man hits the beef with a Chudan Tsuki punch.
Vités (quiet v.o.): Enspirasyon... mwen.
Another image of Zero performing a Hurricanrana on a larger opponent. Another Chudan Tsuki to the beef. Then another and another. Left hand, then right hand, then left.
Vités (quiet v.o.): Rezon... ki fè... mwen se moun...
Another image of Zero performing his Frostbite cutter.
Vités (quiet v.o.): ... mwen ye a...
Zero performing his signature Shooting Star Press. More Chudan Tsukis.
Vités (quiet v.o.): Li te ewo mwen.
Zero standing atop a turnbuckle celebrating with the crowd as it begins to snow.
Vités (quiet v.o.): Ewo... mwen.
The image of Zero's celebration becomes fuzzy, distorted, dark.
Heladas: (v.o.): Sigues siendo ese niño pequeño, Vités.
The Hero is gone; in his place is the image of the Demon standing amidst a more powerful snowstorm. The bandaged man keeps punching the beef, faster, harder.
Heladas (v.o.): That hero you worship... Zero, I killed him myself.
Another image of Zero celebrating. It too is overshadowed by the Frost Demon.
Heladas (v.o.): ... I killed him...
An image of Zero with a championship belt, replaced by Heladas with the Thunderweight Championship belt.
Heladas (v.o.): I... killed him!
The bandaged man's fists fly so fast they begin to turn the frozen air in the freezer into boiling air.
Another image, a series, from last week in Manila. Danys Vités has just defeated Marcelo Sousa in under a minute. He tries to offer Sousa a hand, but the BJJ purple belt slaps his hand away and leaves.
Heladas (v.o.): If you want to be a hero, Danys Vités...
DS (v.o.):Darryl... Darryl, it's-
SDS (v.o.): EL DEMONIO DE LAS HELADAS! The Thunderweight Champion is here! ... Vités has no idea.
Referee Dan Masters notices, and Heladas knocks him out. Vités sees the ref collapse in the corner of his eye and turns around into a-
SDS: FROSTBITE! The Frostbite Cutter by He Who Wields Thunder!
The blue body-painted Demon raises his hands and breathes frost air into his palms and fingers. The frost hardens into sharp icicles.
Heladas (v.o.): If you want to be a hero...
SDS (v.o.): Oh no. No, not this!
Heladas, his icy blue eyes staring daggers, reaches down and grabs Vités black-masked face, sliding his fingers over it.
SDS (v.o.): Heladas is slicing Vités' face open! HE IS MUTILATING HIM!
DS (v.o.): GET SOMEBODY OUT HERE! That's our challenger, dammit!
Heladas (v.o.): ... then my next victim's blood...
Heladas wipes the Haitian's blood on his bare chest. He then picks up the Thunderweight title, lying by the edge of the ring and raises it. The crowd rains down venomous boos at him.
Heladas (v.o.): ... will be on your hands.
The video is shattered by the bandaged man's fists as they continue to tenderise the frozen carcass with blinding speed. The man finally ignites his fist and punches through the thick flesh of what was once a living, breathing cow, cooking it from the inside.
He then uses his other hand to rip the bandages off his head, revealing a black mask. Danys Vités' black mask, only it is no longer fully black. As the Haitian turns his head, there are jagged, orange lines along the sides where the icicles cut through. The crowd explodes.
Vités: Mwen resevwa mesaj la... (eyes glowing bright orange, smoke emanating from his mouth) Demon!
The freezer fills with steam, enveloping all but his eyes, now filled with righteous, burning fury.
The video ends. The crowd cheers and claps.
Campbell: And that's the whole kit-and-kaboodle. (Tips hat) G'day and good night.
He then drops the microphone and leaves the ring as his AC/DC-esque theme blasts one more time.
SDS: I cannot believe it! After the ordeal from last week, Danys Vités is STILL the number 1 contender.
DS: Gotta give credit where it's due. Kid looks dangerous, companheiro. Hopefully, he backs it up against the Demons.
SDS: Speaking of demons, Axel and Oscar Wallace are about to face theirs. Tag Team Championships are on the line, next!
