PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - $100,000 Fight Purse Gauntlet Match

SDS: Ladies and gentlemen, we'll keep you updated on the Cyclone-Kruscher situation, but for now, here's David Bekker.

David Bekker: The following is the Fight Purse Gauntlet! In this match, the two wrestlers who drew numbers 1 and 2 will start. Every 30 seconds, a new combatant will enter. There are no disqualifications or countouts, but falls ONLY count inside the ring. The first wrestler to score a pinfall or submission will be declared the winner and will walk away with a $100,000 Bonus!

SDS: That is quite the challenge.

DS: Seriously, let me in on this!

SDS: Who are we starting off with?

A common rock theme plays as Raquel Santana marches onto the field. 

David Bekker: Introducing entrant number 1, from São Paulo, Brazil, standing 183 centimetres tall and 91 kilos, RRRRRRAQUEL SAAAAANTAAAANAAA! 

She wears a scowl under her long, black locks along with a black sports bra, wrist tape, boots and-

DS: Why's she wearing pants?! The trunks were just fine. They were perfect!

SDS: After what she suffered at the hands of "Diamond Jack" Ekwueme and Rami Arslan, I can understand.

DS: That's just victim-blaming!

SDS: You're the one who said she brought it on herself. You said you were glad it happened.

DS: I said she should have let the beef with Arslan go, because she didn't know who he was rolling with. It was a lesson she needed to learn. But that's not important. Set the cheeks free!

SDS: I think you'll survive.

Santana runs up the stairs and springboards over the ropes, landing on her feet.

SDS: Regardless, Santana has found herself in a great position here. In this where a battle royal or elimination-style match, getting the number 1 entrant would be disastrous, but in this match, you want to get in as early as possible.

A Willz-esque Zambian Afrobeat theme plays. Santana's eyes widen as the black-and-gold-clad capoeirista does an aerial down the embankment.

SDS: Uh oh!

David Bekker: Introducing entrant number 2, from Lusaka, Zambia, standing 173 centimetres tall and weighing in at 80 kilos, KEVIIIIN "KILLER WASP" KAAAAAAMBOOOLEEEEE!!!!

SDS: Kevin Kambole, the man whom Raquel Santana violently assaulted backstage after her own degradation.

Kambole runs to the ring while unzipping his vest and throwing it off before sliding into it. He hops to his feet, glaring at Santana, who has her hands on her hips and her eyes aimed left.

The big screen shows the events of two weeks ago: A Thunderweight Triple Threat Match between Kambole, Arslan and Santana. Kambole going for a Springboard Crossbody, only for Arslan to duck and Santana to catch him with a Big Boot. Santana bending over to celebrate over Kambole, allowing Arslan to walk behind her, slap her butt to make her stand, catch her attempted Elbow Strike and bring her down with his signature Rolling Kneebar, the Cedarsnap, to make her tap.

It then shows last week: The No Holds Barred Match between Santana and Arslan, that she asked for. Santana bent over Ekwueme's giant lap, having been spanked like a child to the point of tears, screaming that she gives up into the microphone Arslan holds to her face. Santana walking up the ramp with one hand over her face and another on her stinging backside.

Then later that night: Santana attacking Kambole backstage, throwing him into a wall and stomping on him. Cyrus Reed tossing her aside and telling her to leave, before looking down at Kambole, "Look at ya. Getting stomped on by a skirt. Pathetic."

DS: I mean... it was kind of his fault.

SDS: Now, who's victim-blaming? 

Kambole's frown deepens, his fists clenching. Santana shakes her head and finally looks him in the eye.

Referee Dan Masters stands between them and calls for the bell. Neither combatant moves on the other just yet. Instead, they converse.

DS: What are they doing? They don't have time for this.

SDS: Santana still trying to apologise; maybe trying to explain her actions. There's really no justifying it in my book. What happened to her was repulsive, but Kambole was a bystander.

DS: He was catatist.

SDS: You mean catalyst?

DS: Yeah, that. It's his fault. Now, knock him out and get paid.

Santana extends a hand.

DS: Why do people keep trying to shake hands in this company? It literally ends badly every time.

SDS: Once in a blue moon.

Kambole slaps her hand away.

SDS: Kambole having none of it.

DS: Of course not.

The Killer Wasp then backs away and performs a Ginga dance. Santana, now angry, charges at him.

SDS: Kambole with a Queixada kick to Santana's face! Using one of the 4 fundamental Capoeira kicks against the Brazilian.

DS: Hey, wait a minute. That's disrespectful!

SDS: He's been practising it since he was 15.

With Santana on the ground, Kambole then transitions from the Ginga to the Queda de Rins balancing technique, from which he hits a Chicote kick to her head.

SDS: Killer Wasp with another kick, and there's the cover. Santana kicks out!

Kambole gets up and hops over Santana, jumping onto and off the ropes for a Springboard Moonsault. Santana rolls out of the way, forcing him to land on his feet. She gets up and tries to clothesline him, but he ducks and then catches her with a Pelé Kick that puts her back down.

SDS: We're about to get a new entrant.

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

A loud buzzer blasts through the speaker, followed by the sound of electricity, and a heavy drumbeat accompanied by Argentine Rock. 

The crowd boos.

DS: OH NO!

SDS: This is not good!

White fog covers the stage, and out walks a tall, lean, fair-skinned man in a white mask with a green cross on it covering his entire head, except for his dark eyes. He is clad in more white, with the green cross appearing on his fingerless gloves, trunks and boots.

David Bekker: Entrant number 3, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, standing 183 centimetres and weighing 98 kilos, EEEELLL CIRRRUJANOOOOO!

Cirujano raises his hands, looking at them with a quizzical head tilt, then looks up, clenches them into fists, and rushes to the ring. 

SDS: El Cirujano, the man who ended the career of my broadcast partner, Diogo Santos-

DS: You didn't have to bring that up again.

SDS: -and who we last saw, nearly breaking the fingers of Marcelo Sousa two weeks ago. He was off on some "personal business" last week, but now he's here; Kambole better beware!

Kambole tries to kick the Surgeon as he enters the ring.

SDS: Caught! Dragon Screw! Single Leg Boston Crab! 

DS: Just that quick! You gotta have hands and feet like bullets against this man!

SDS: Cirujano, the submission specialist, with Kambole at his mercy in the early going. Santana's on her feet. Boot to the- No! Now, she's caught. Dragon Screw to Santana. Single Leg Boston Crab applied. Santana trying to crawl away, but there are no rope breaks!

DS: She's gonna tap! She's gonna tap! 

SDS: Kambole breaks it up! Throwing himself at Cirujano to save the match-up.

DS: And Santana's knee.

Kambole tries to get up, but the Argentinian wrestles him back down, goes after the leg and slams his knee down, then steps over, pulling back on the Zambian's neck while simultaneously hyper-extending the knee and trapping the arm for his signature modified STF.

SDS: Cirujano Stretch! Cirujano Stretch applied! Kambole with nowhere to go! 

DS: He's gonna tap!

SDS: And now Santana breaks it up!

The former bodybuilder gets on top of Cirujano and starts wailing on him. He blocks her, takes the top mount and transitions into an Armbar.

SDS: And there's another submission! Oh, Kambole! Crawling on top of Cirujano! Cirujano forced to get the shoulder up and let go of the hold! We've got another entry on the way.

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts once again. Some bossa nova music plays, and the well-built Pardo man with cornrows in his hair and wearing yellow and green shorts rushes down the embankment. 

SDS: The receipts just keep coming tonight.

David Bekker: Entrant 4, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, standing 178 centimetres and weighing 99 kilos, MARCELOOO SOOUUSSSAAAA!

SDS: Sousa throwing Kambole aside; and he's attacking Cirujano! That hand looks a lot better!

DS: Festa's boyfriend going crazy!

SDS: Enough with that!

DS: Fresh off getting squashed in 10 seconds by Vités last week-

SDS: Sousa, the purple belt, attempting a Grounded Front Facelock. Cirujano slips out. Trying to twist the arm. Nice roll by Sousa. Grounded Headlock now. Cirujano slips out again for a Hammerlock!

DS: Don't matter what colour belt you have. You not beating this man on the ground!

SDS: Santana with a boot to the face of Cirujano!

The woman from São Paulo grabs the luchador and drags him over to a corner to slam his head against the turnbuckle. 

She then runs to the opposing turnbuckle and performs a handspring and several backflips, using the momentum to strike Cirujano with her elbow. 

SDS: Great acrobatic move by Santana. Cirujano is dazed- Sousa tosses her out of the ring! And now a Rear Naked Choke to Cirujano! He wanted the man who embarrassed him two weeks ago all to himself!

DS: Of course he does! Cirujano had him SCREAMING and tapping out on TV!

SDS: The choke is locked in tight. The legs are wrapped around his waist. I don't think even- KAMBOLEEEE! Flying off the top rope to break the hold. Next entrant on their way!

DS: Who's it gonna be?

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts yet again, and then a tornado siren and a hard rock track with heavy drums. 

The crowd is a mix of boos and some cheers. A large Caucasian man with a blonde handlebar moustache in a leopard-print power singlet jogs down the embankment, throwing off his leather jacket.

SDS: It's the King of the Concrete Jungle! 

DS: What you gonna do?!

David Bekker: Entrant number 5, from Staten Island, New York in the USA, standing 188 centimetres and weighing 125 kilos, GARYYY WIIIIIILDMAAAAN!!!

SDS: One half of the Wild Thornes alongside Nigel Thorne. He has found no success in Psycho Style so far, but will he change that tonight?

Kambole dives through the ropes, but Wildman catches him.

DS: NOPE!

The veteran powerhouse effortlessly throws the smaller man onto his shoulder, holding him in a Fireman's Carry while running towards a ringpost, slamming Kambole's head against it and letting him fall to the grass.

SDS: What a brutal move by Wildman! Santana on the apron. Going for a Flipping Senton- Caught!

DS: Nope again!

SDS: Wildman with a Shoulder Breaker to Santana on the outside! 

Wildman roars while beating his chest and flexing for the crowd.

SDS: And Diogo, the match has completely shifted here. It's been a Thunderweight affair so far. Santana, Kambole, Cirujano, Sousa, all under 100 kilos. 

DS: The big guns are coming out. And speaking of guns, look at those biceps!

SDS: Sousa and Cirujano, trading holds on the mat. Wildman's in the ring. Running elbow drop! Bringing all his weight down on both men. 

Wildman picks up Cirujano and Irish whips him into a corner. He then picks up Sousa and whips him into the same corner before following and driving his shoulder into Sousa's gut, simultaneously sandwiching Cirujano against the turnbuckles as well.

SDS: Shoulder Tackle by Wildman. Now a Belly-to-Belly to Sousa. There's the cover. Sousa kicks out at two. Next entrant on the way!

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts. An almost romantic-sounding rock theme with an Arabic flair plays. A tall, jacked, long-haired, ponytailed North African man walks up to the embankment. 

David Bekker: Entrant number 6, from Aswan, Egypt, standing 193 centimetres and 110 kilos, MOSTAFAAAA NAAAAAASRRRRR!!!!

Nasr throws off his sleeveless shirt and makes his pecs dance. The women swoon and scream. Wildman stares at him in disgust.

Santos: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

SDS: With how much you slobber for Zázrak, I'd expect you to be a fan.

Santos: Zázrak is Perfection; this guy's a poser!

Nasr undoes his ponytail and shakes his hair loose before running down to the ring. 

SDS: He's 24 years old, a student of the great Tonye Carrera, and probably has one of the highest ceilings in PSW.

Nasr slides into the ring and taunts Wildman. The big man rushes him and swings wildly, only for Nasr to duck. Wildman uses the ropes to come back for another, but Nasr effortlessly leaps over his head.

SDS: And THAT is why!

DS: Didn't that Harlan Greaves guy snatch him out of the air two weeks ago?

Wildman comes back again, but this time Nasr catches him with a High-Angle Scoop Powerslam. 

SDS: I think he's learned from that. There's the cover. Cirujano breaks it up!

The doctor then grabs the Egyptian's fingers and pulls them apart. Nasr screams, but Wildman shoves both of them away, which in turn causes the luchador to let go. Meanwhile, a recovered Santana attacks Kambole on the outside. Sousa gets back up and again goes after Cirujano. Nasr and Wildman break off and brawl.

SDS: We knew this was coming, Diogo! The match has broken down!

DS: Chaos, Darryl! I love it!

SDS: And someone else is about to join the fray!

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts. An ambient, atmospheric industrial rock track comes through, reaching out with its tendrils to tickle the ribs of everyone present, including the 6 combatants who all freeze in wide-eyed terror.

SDS: Oh my!

DS: No... NO! NONONOOOOOOO!!!

A short, round figure in a scaly body suit and beaked mask approaches the embankment. She waddles with a wide, stiff gait, one scuba-style webbed foot after another. 

David Bekker: Entrant number 7, from Beau Vallon, Mahé, Seychelles, standing 165 centimetres and weighing 115 kilos, TORTIIIIIIIIIIII GAAAAAAAL!!!

SDS:  The latest woman to carry the century-old moniker of Torti Gal, a holdout from Jeffery Campbell's PPW who HAS been thus far undefeated in PSW. 

Torti Gal's violet eyes move from side to side with each step. She raises her claw-tipped hands and one foot. The crowd and pyro explode in sync.

DS: Where did that pyro even come from?! It's just concrete and grass up there! ALGUÉM MATE AQUELA ABOMINAÇÃO!

The masked woman stares down at the embankment, then slowly adjusts her webbed feet to walk down it. Some children stand up, holding out their palms. She stops and reaches for them, which results in her slipping down the rest of the embankment to the ground and just lying there. 

She sits up, blinking, and then slowly, awkwardly gets to her feet. Now the children at the front of the embankment hold out their palms. She goes to them, touching each one, and completely ignoring the action in the ring.

Wildman takes the opportunity to go behind Nasr and perform his signature Half Nelson Choke Suplex.

SDS: Python's Gullet! There's the cover- AND THE WHOLE FIELD BREAKS IT UP!

DS: Everybody wants that money.

SDS: Except for Torti Gal, she's still touching palms with the children. 

DS: Let's just ignore her. PLEASE!

SDS: She'll be impossible when she joins. Next entrant on the way!

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts. A ticking clock is heard along with a rap-rock beat and growling vocals to boos from the crowd. A broad-shouldered Caucasian man with a trimmed moustache and a scar over his eye comes down the embankment, wearing suspenders hooked to his tights, tape around his fists and an old-school watch chain.

David Bekker: Entrant number 8, from Brooklyn, New York in the USA, standing 183 centimetres and weighing 118 kilos, "MR MINUTE" LOUIIIIEEE MERRRCEEERRRR!

SDS: The former underground rookie crusher, last seen getting destroyed by Torti Gal two weeks ago. Is he feeling vengeful too? Nope, going straight to the ring. Knocking everybody down with rights and lefts.

DS: The money's all that matters!

SDS: Kambole with a Springboard Enziguri to Mercer! And now Santana from behind... with a Pumphandle Slam on Kambole! Going for a cover- No, Cirujano! Cirujano with the Cirujano Stretch on Santana! And now Sousa, with the Rear Choke on Cirujano! We have two submission moves at the same time!

DS: This is nuts, Darryl!

SDS: WILDMAN WITH AN ATOMIC LEG DROP! Breaking it all up! Everybody's down! Torti Gal's still touching palms on the outside! This is a prime opportunity right now.

DS: No, stay over there. Keep far, far away!

SDS: Next entrant on the way!

Crowd: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

The buzzer blasts. The sound of a plane engine coming to life is heard, propellers spinning in sync with an electric guitar solo and accompanying drums to loud cheers. 

DS: ISSO AÍ! SIM! SIM! SIM!

A man with messy black hair, in gear reminiscent of a late-1940s fighter pilot, complete with a bomber jacket, goggles, and a mask over his mouth, runs down the embankment with his arms held out like a plane.

David Bekker: Entrant number 9, from San Cristóbal in the Dominican Republic, standing 173 centimetres and weighing in at 75 kilos, FLYBOY FIGUEEERRRRROOOAAAAAA!

SDS: The sensational high-flyer who we last saw put on an incredible performance against Mudir two weeks ago, losing effort though it was. Wildman's back up, daring Figueroa to join him in the ring.

Figueroa slides in and charges, ducks under a punch, bounces his back off the ropes and uses the momentum to perform an aerial into a Heel Kick! The New Yorker stumbles back into the ropes and comes back, only for the Dominican to catch him with a Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors that sends him flying out of the ring.

SDS: What a move by Flyboy!

Figueroa throws off his jacket and points both index fingers to the sky 

SDS: And look at this. Running the ropes, Spaceman Plancha! Taking out Wildman on the outside. 

Flyboy stands up and points yet again.

SDS: MERCER WITH A STEEL CHAIR TO FIGUEROA! DID YOU HEAR THAT?!

DS: Been waiting for that!

The crowd boos loudly as the Brooklyn native slides into the ring and starts swinging wildly, hitting anyone who moves. Nasr gets a shot to the face, Sousa gets a really hard one to the crown of his head, then Kambole to his back. Cirujano manages to roll out of the ring, dodging it. 

Meanwhile, Torti Gal has reached the grandstand, but is too short to reach the children in the front row who reach down for a palm. Touch. She hops up and down, trying to get to them to no avail.

Mercer then turns to strike Santana.

SDS: Santana with a low blow. Perfectly legal!

DS: Oh, but somebody slaps her ass, and there's a problem?

SDS: That was different, and you know it?

DS: How? Explain like I'm 5.

SDS: It- Santana with a DDT on the chair! There's the cover- Cirujano breaks it up! And now again, he's got her in the Cirujano Stretch! There's nobody to save it! Everybody else is down, except- TORTI GAL'S SPRINTING TO THE RING!!! LOOK AT THE SPEED! SHE IS KICKING UP DUST!

DS: AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

The turtle woman enters the ring with a sudden cat-like grace, claws out, violet eyes glowing with furious energy.

The clock rounds down and the buzzer blasts just as Torti Gal is about to leap into the fray.


SDS: Santana's tapping out! Raquel Santana is forced to tap out! Torti Gal was too late! And before the next entrant could even make it out.

Torti Gal freezes mid-pounce as the bell rings. Cirujano continues to keep the screaming Santana in the hold, all the while staring down the creature. The crowd boos heavily.

SDS: Cirujano snatching victory at the right moment- Dammit, let her go. You've won already!

Torti Gal brings her arms down and lowers her head, walking out of the ring sadly. Santana continues to scream and plead, as the bell rings over and over again and Masters tries prying him off. 

Kambole suddenly leaps onto him and rains down punches to force him to let go. The Argentinian stands and shoves him away. Masters gets between them.

David Bekker: Here is your winner of the $100,000... EEEEEELLLL CIIIIRUUUJJAAANNOOOOOOOO!!!

DS: I almost forgot about the money.

SDS: That's what this whole thing was supposed to be about

A crewman runs into the ring and hands Cirujano a briefcase. He slowly looks down at it, then at his own hands, which he then uses to take the case before leaving. As he walks out, a busted-open Sousa grabs his ankle. Cirujano pulls his ankle away and stomps on Sousa's hand before exiting completely.

On the outside of the ring, Wildman has recovered and realises the match is over. In anger, he kicks the still fallen Figueroa before storming off.

SDS: That was uncalled for

DS: I mean, Figueroa's my man, but I can't blame Wildman. Who was gonna be the next entry?

SDS: I don't know. Apparently there were 6 to 11 people waiting.

DS: Damn...

SDS: That's what I said; the earlier you get in, the better.

Cirujano continues his triumphant walk up the embankment, briefcase in hand. Sousa drags himself out of the ring, still glaring after him.

Nasr comes to and stumbles away, while holding his head. Mercer rolls out of the ring and leaves as well. 

Kambole remains and looks down at Santana, who is still groaning from the Cirujano Stretch. She looks up at him, slightly wary, but he mouths the words, "We not done," before leaving. 

SDS: Cirujano might have walked away with the cash tonight, but I can guarantee to you, payment is due across the board.
