PSW Accolades: Tag Team Championships

What is there to say? Competitors need to find somebody, anybody, willing to put up with them, someone they know will have their back and make them a better performer. After that, the only thing that's left is to chase these bad boys and become the Tag Team Supreme.

That's it.

History
  1. Team Wallace (30 November 2030) - 29 Days
  2. Pandemonium (29 December 2030) - 33 Days
  3. Team Wallace (31 January 2031)

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Vito Montani vs Paul Grizzly (c) - Ambulance Match

Montani steps out from under the concourse to the sound of his intense hip-hop theme.

David Bekker: Your main event of the evening is an AMBULANCE MATCH, and it is for the Psycho Style Wrestling WORLD DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP!!! In this contest, there are no disqualifications, no countouts, pinfalls or submissions! The only way to win is to place your opponent inside the back of the ambulance and shut the doors.

Instead of walking to the embankment, Montani walks towards the ambulance waiting on the hardcourt. He walks from the back to the sides, studying the vehicle intently.

DS: Take it in, Montani. THAT'S YOUR FUTURE!

SDS: Montani examining the task. Calculating how he intends to seal Grizzly's large frame inside that thing.

The young thug slaps the side of the vehicle hard and marches to the embankment.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - The Last Word

The sound of the siren echoes throughout every corner of the facility. An O.R.D.R.L.I. flies over, capturing the big white ambulance with green and yellow markings as it backs up toward the stadium; the tents, fences, and other obstacles have been moved aside or brought down to clear a path.

SDS: There it is, Diogo. Courtesy of St. Yochanan's. Somebody's going for a ride in the back of that bus.

DS: Not "someone", Darryl. Vito Montani. That palhaço is DONE FOR!

SDS: That remains to be seen, but speaking of Montani, we turn one final time to Katrina Petrov, who is standing by with the challenger to the World Dominion Championship!

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Open Season

30 November 2030 - The Saturday Night Super Fight Special

Kruscher runs the 6-Man Gauntlet Match, defeating Kala Kahuna, Gary Wildman, the Honey Badger, Seth, and finally Vito Montani to become the first-ever Holder of Dominion. He kicks Montani out of the ring and demands his title. Head Referee "Big Joe" Wilson is about to present him with it.

Briar Lane: Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that there is a surprise 7th entrant in this match!

SDS: 7th entrant?

DS: They can't do this!

SDS: Who is it?

Kruscher is livid as Wilson pulls the title away. A loud roar is heard over the speakers, and the crowd explodes with recognition.

SDS: It's Paul Grizzly!

DS: WHAT?!

SDS: Paul Grizzly! This is incredible!

DS: I thought CPGW had him locked down!

SDS: Apparently not, and he's making a beeline for the ring.

DS: Kruscher's exhausted! He can't fight a giant!

SDS: Bear Hug! Grizzly, with the Bear Hug, has put so many people away, and Kruscher is one more. He's out! Paul Grizzly is the first-ever World Dominion Champion!

Grizzly plants his foot on a fallen Kruscher, raises the belt and roars.

6 December 2030 - 2030/31 Draft Round 1

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Top of the Tag Team Mountain

The Wallaces enter the concourse, tired and sweaty, and triumphant in Oscar's case. The younger Wallace has the straps of his singlet down and his Tag Team title gleaming in the lights as it rests on his shoulder. The elder Wallace, Axel, is deep in thought with the title in his hand. Katrina Petrov approaches.

Petrov: Axel, Oscar, congratulations on your victory! Not only were you the first-ever Tag Team Champions, but you are also now the first-ever Two-time Tag Champs in our company's very short history.

Axel (softens): Thank you, Katrina.

Oscar: Yeah, thanks.

Petrov: How are you both feeling right now?

Axel (looks at Oscar, then looks at his own belt): Circumstances aside... (puts the belt on his shoulder and finally smiles) It is good to be holding the gold again.

Oscar chuckles and nods in agreement.

Petrov: Let's talk about that. Hốn Loạn was basically on his own in that match; why do you think that was?

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Team Wallace vs Pandemonium (c) w/ Tình Nhân

Davd Bekker: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! And it is for the Psycho Style Wrestling Tag Team Championships!

The crowd goes wild as a high-pitched guitar riff plays.

Axel and Oscar stop at the embankment and cross their arms over their heads, creating an X-symbol while pointing their index fingers.

David Bekker: Introducing the challengers, from Brigg, England, at a combined weight of 204 Kilos, Axel and Oscar, TEAM WALLACE!

They walk briskly down the embankment, delivering high fives and fist bumps to the seated fans as they step onto the field and march to the ring.

SDS: Two months ago, at Saturday Night Super Fight, our first-ever event, the veteran Axel Wallace and his younger brother, Oscar, survived a 16-person cage match to become the inaugural Tag Team Supreme! One month ago, at Ascension, they fell victim in short order to Hổn Loạn and Mộng Dữ, the sons of the demon Mulad, one half of the original Pandemonium and the Mother of Darkness, Tình Nhân, in a Ladder Match.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Message Received

A rocking instrumental that wouldn't sound out of place on an AC/DC album plays over the speakers as Seth gets off the field, refusing medical assistance. Jeffrey Campbell is in the ring, mic in hand.

SDS: General Manager Jeffrey Campbell, here to make his address regarding the Thunderweight title match at the Valentine's Brawl.

DS (sarcastically): This should be good.

Campbell: G'day, Suva!

The crowd cheers.

DS: Cheap pop.

Campbell: Last week, the Fight Pit's number one contender for the Thunderweight Championship, Danys Vités, copped a bloody, ruthless, sick, sadistic, cowardly attack from He Who Wields Thunder, El Demonio de las Heladas.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Kraken Khan vs Seth

SDS: It has been a rough night here in Suva.

DS: And it's about to get rougher.

A deep, apocalyptic theme is suddenly heard, overlaid with the sound of crashing waves and boos from the crowd. The massive Kraken Khan, heavily tatted with a crustacean mask, marches along the hardcourt toward the stadium, his long, braided beard swaying with each step

David Bekker: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. On the way to the ring, from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, standing 206 centimetres and weighing in at 129 Kilos, Kraken Khan!

Khan stops at the edge of the embankment. His Persian Orange eyes bore holes in the people sitting on either side of him. He then stretches his arms out, cupping his long-nailed hands into the shape of crab claws as he roars at the sky above before bringing them down and descending into the field.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - The Sad Sacks

The cameraman catches Sara Blood Jr as she lumbers into the concourse, her shoulders slumped, her long black locks obscuring her face. Katrina Petrov approaches, mic in hand.

Petrov: Sara, tough loss out there, but there was a moment at the en-

Sara Jr (without even looking at her): I don'. Want. To talk. Right now.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Sara Blood Jr vs Mudir

Sara Jr clutches her right shoulder, gritting her teeth in pain. Referee Damaso Gasco stands over her with his hands on his hips.

Gasco: What's the holdup? Did you dislocate it?

Sara Jr (shakes head): No... It just friggin hurts.

Gasco (walking away): Then get up already! We haven't got all night.

As she rises to her feet, Mudir does stretches. Walking lunges followed by back twists.

SDS: Look at this. Mudir isn't even taking this seriously.

DS: What are you talking about? Look at the form on those stretches.

SDS: I'm more focused on the smirk on his face.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - ¡Toro!

An electronic wolf howl plays from the speakers, followed by an energetic techno beat.

David Bekker: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Sara Jr, tall and light-skinned with long black blue-streaked locks, wearing a black sleeveless, thigh-length romper with blue claw marks and a black bandana with blue paw marks, runs out of the concourse to the embankment and bounces on her feet.

David Bekker: Approaching the ring, from Staten Island, New York in the USA, standing 196 centimetres tall and weighing in at 96 kilos, SARA BLOOOOOOOOD JUNIOOORRR!!!

She looks around at the completely indifferent crowd, throwing up her MMA-style gloved fists to try and garner a reaction. Some people cheer, politely; others boo; most just kind of sit there. She lowers her arms, looking sad before slapping herself and running down the embankment.

SDS: The youngest daughter of Bredda G and Big Mama Moolah, also known as Mr and Mrs Williams, who run this company. You almost have to feel bad for her.

DS: No, I don't.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Pound of Flesh

SDS: We turn back now to Katrina Petrov, who is with the Honey Badger.

DS: Not that crazy cara.

SDS: Katrina, take us away.

Concourse

Petrov stands in front of a wall under the grandstand. The feral Afrikaner paces behind, breathing heavily and frothing at the mouth.

Petrov: Thanks, Darryl. Like you said, with a very...

Badger growls.

Petrov (side-eyeing him): ... angry Honey Badger, who... requested this... interview time. Badger, could you tell us what's on your mind?

1.68-metre man stops and shoots his hand up at her face, making her flinch backwards. It's not a punch or an attempted strangulation. He's holding something, a tiny yellow ball, which he then shows to the camera.

There's a number on it: 10.

Crowd: OOOOH...

SDS: Oh no...

DS: HAHAHAHA!!!

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - At What Cost?

An O.R.D.R.L.I. captures a security guard approaching a large white tent in the stadium's hardcourt pavilion.

Guard (peeking through): Boss, we got him.

The guard steps back, and out walks General Manager Jeffry Campbell in a red dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and his signature big white hat.

Campbell: Where is he?

The guard tilts his head and walks away. Campbell follows him to a set of stands, where Johnny Cyclone is seated, surrounded by guards, with Cyrus Reed standing over him.

Campbell (approaching): Cyclone! Johnny, mate, ya right?

Cyclone (clutching his ribs and gritting his teeth): I'll tell you the honest truth, sir... No.

Campbell: I meant in the bloody head! But I reckon the answer's the same, right? What the hell were ya thinkin'?!

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - $100,000 Fight Purse Gauntlet Match

SDS: Ladies and gentlemen, we'll keep you updated on the Cyclone-Kruscher situation, but for now, here's David Bekker.

David Bekker: The following is the Fight Purse Gauntlet! In this match, the two wrestlers who drew numbers 1 and 2 will start. Every 30 seconds, a new combatant will enter. There are no disqualifications or countouts, but falls ONLY count inside the ring. The first wrestler to score a pinfall or submission will be declared the winner and will walk away with a $100,000 Bonus!

SDS: That is quite the challenge.

DS: Seriously, let me in on this!

SDS: Who are we starting off with?

A common rock theme plays as Raquel Santana marches onto the field.

David Bekker: Introducing entrant number 1, from São Paulo, Brazil, standing 183 centimetres tall and 91 kilos, RRRRRRAQUEL SAAAAANTAAAANAAA!

She wears a scowl under her long, black locks along with a black sports bra, wrist tape, boots and-

DS: Why's she wearing pants?! The trunks were just fine. They were perfect!

SDS: After what she suffered at the hands of "Diamond Jack" Ekwueme and Rami Arslan, I can understand.

DS: That's just victim-blaming!

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - I Came In Like...

A cameraman follows Kruscher through the concourse below the stadium grandstand, past the railings, flat grey pillars, stairs and concessions.

Katrina Petrov: Krrruscher? Krrruscher!

The Moscow Machine halts outside a changing room door as the red-haired interviewer runs up to him. The

Petrov: After your dominant victory over Kala Kahuna, can we-

Kruscher: I krushed Kahuna.

Petrov: Yes, but can we get a word on-

Kruscher: Just like krushed Cyclone last week.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Kruscher vs Kala Kahuna

An O.R.D.R.L.I. feed appears on the big screen, showing Kruscher in a black tank top and track pants dragging a carry-on, looking impassive. The time code of the video reads 18:43, an hour and 17 minutes before the show started.

Kruscher stops in his tracks and narrows his eyes as the not-quite-as-large frame of Kala Kahuna enters into view. The big Hawaiian sports an open button-up and shorts, with slippers on his feet and bandaged toes.

Kahuna (folds arms): Well, look who it is. Da Ruski.

Kruscher walks past him.

Kahuna: Or maybe I should say rooster. Cos what you did to Cyclone last week? Dat was some chicken-shit.

Kruscher stops yet again, slowly lets go of the carry-on and turns around. Kahuna unfolds his arms as the Moscow Machine engulfs his personal space.

Kruscher: What I did last week was erase a nuisance. Do you want to be next?

Kahuna (looking up slightly): Jump when you ready, Ivan.

PSW Fight Pit End of January Special - Suvatime Rendering

- 31 January 2031

An open-air complex defined by the stark, cantilevered roof of its main grandstand and the open grassy slopes that frame the breezy seaside perimeter. Psycho Style Wrestling and Fight Pit imagery hangs everywhere.

Thousands of iTaukei, Indo-Fijians and tourists from around the world pack into the tiered plastic seats of the imposing, covered main stand and spill onto the lush, grassy embankments encircling the bold blue running track, rich green rugby pitch and, of course, the wrestling ring.

SDS: With the Valentine's Brawl in Dunedin, New Zealand two weeks from tomorrow, we are LIVE from Suva, Fiji! Welcome, everyone, to our special 31st of January edition of Psycho Style Wrestling's Friday Night Fight Pit. I'm "Striking" Darryl Stroligo, here with the Carnival King, Diogo Santos!

DS: It's goodbye, Janu-Worry and hello Feb-Hooray, Darryl! I am feeling so good right now!

SDS: It's nice to see those extra zeros, isn't it?

DS: Absolutely, got the alert this morning! But you know who else is gonna pay tonight? That palhaço, Vito Montani!
