PSW Accolades: Bloodbath Championship

You've heard the phrase, "Blood for the blood gods," but in our world, this is the blood god. And the one who holds Crimson is its anointed King or Queen.

A match where this baby, the beating heart and stained soul of our company, is on the line is nothing short of absolute carnage. Competitors must be willing to destroy not just each other, but themselves and the very arena around them. They have no choice. Well, the challengers do...

History
  1. Roger Evans (29 December 2030) - 29 Days
  2. Ethan Stewart (27 January 2031)

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Ethan Stewart vs Roger Evans (c) - Honiara Street Fight

Chief Steele and Evans step onto King George Street, where cars, most of which are junk, and cones encircle the designated fight area. There are cameramen and speakers in abundance, with many onlookers and passersby watching, while security keeps them back. Deputy Head Referee Georgia Holliday waves him over. She is wearing an earpiece.

Steele (turning away): Gud luck, son. Ye'll be needin' it, right enough.

Evans: Yeah...

He slowly marches to the centre.

Stewart, who was sitting on the hood of a car, arms folded, hops down and approaches as well: Ye actually turned up.

Evans (smirks): Well, duh. Can't kick your ass for the 3rd time if I don't.

Stewart (quietly): ... Ah'm gonnie enjoy this.

Holliday (stands between them): Gentlemen, save it until the bell rings. (into earpiece) Briar, do the thing.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - The Last Mile

Chloe Davis and her cameraman intercept Roger Evans as he comes into the entrance tunnel.

Davis: Roger, are you absolutely sure you want to-

Evans: Not now, dudette. The Crimson King has got a date with old King George...

He steps out of the camera's view, only to come back.

Evans: The Sixth. (leaves)

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - The Main Event Moron

A.B.: Guys, it has been a topsy-turvy night here in Honiara.

Shamoon: Yep, and it's about to get even better!

Dominga: Why?

Pop/Rap fusion song plays. The crowd reaction is mixed, but mostly positive.

A.B.: Oh no...

Dominga: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!

Shamoon (bopping to the beat): That's right! We're gonna close out the show with the Crimson Ki- OH MY GOODNESS!

Roger Evans limps out with the Bloodbath Champions. His open Hawaiian shirt exposes the bandages on his ribs. His brown fedora and glasses blend and act as the endpoints for the spectrum of colour that the plaster over his nose sits on.

A.B. (sighs): Roger Evans, the inaugural Bloodbath Champion, still sporting injuries from last week's brutal Hardcore Match with Luisa Festa, which saw the young champion hit a 450 Splash onto Festa.

Dominga: - and a chair!

A.B.: And a chair, through our announce table to retain his title. Just- Just look at him. 20 years old, this kid, and he can barely walk. Keep in mind, he's only been wrestling for 5 weeks. He had a year of training and 5 weeks of genuine, active competition, and this is the state of him.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - The Next Chapter

A bombastic regal theme plays, and the Honiarans rise to their feet and scream. Ngozi walks briskly out onto the soccer field, clad in a pale blue tracksuit and her signature orange visor sunglasses with the Jewell's Championship around her waist and microphone in her hand.

A.B.: It's the Empress! Empress Ngozi in Honiara-

Dominga: Why are you acting like you didn't walk into the building with-

A.B.: GOD DAMNIT, ALVARÉZ, LET ME TALK ABOUT MY WIFE! THE BEARER OF THE JEWELL! THE GREATEST WRESTLER OF HER GENERATION! NO, THE GREATEST WRESTLER ALIVE! NGOZI - EMPRESS OF THE SQUARED CIRCLE! Okay, I'm done.

Shamoon: She's looking good for someone who swallowed vertigo-inducing venom last week, with respect.

A.B.: That's what good anti-venom gets you.

Ngozi smiles and gives the crowd a royal wave before climbing the steps, wiping her feet on the apron and entering the ring.

Ngozi: Honiara!

The crowd pops yet again.

Ngozi: ... Your Empress... has... arrived!

The ovation restarts.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Couple Goals and a Couple o' Gals

An O.R.D.R.L.I. feed appears on the big screen. Elsa Filipsson is seated on a chair outside the Trainer's Room. She has her head in her hands and her skates on her lap.

Kalavina Leota (voice): Elsa?

Elsa raises her head as the Mother Head of Holds, clad in her Road Agent slacks, walks into view.

Leota (hands on hips): What's going on? Where's Eeva?

Elsa looks down again and points at the door.

Leota (looks at the door then down at Elsa): She contagious?

Elsa (looks up): What?

Leota (points at door): Da busted knee. Is it contagious?

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Twice the Pain

In the wake of the Track Queens' decimation, two tag team matches take place. Less dramatic and openly sadistic, per Nalah Shabani's edict, but no less physical from bell to bell.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Contracted Demon

A.B.: If you're just joining us, Eeva Mustonen of the Track Queens is currently being attended to by Chief Medical Officer Dr Anya Sharma and her team. The damage done to her right knee... Guys, knee injuries in this business are not a joke. Careers can be finished just like that.

Shamoon: I just- I just can't believe the Jabbars would do that. Why?

Dominga: You really believed in them that much, huh?

Shamoon: I just thought they were better.

Dominga: With a change in attitude that severe, I'd say they're going to be.

Shamoon: You're sick.

A.B.: We turn, once again, to Chloe Davis, who is standing by with the General Manager of the Monday Night Madhouse, Nalah Shabani.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - JabbarTV vs Track Queens

Briar Lane: The following is a tag team match scheduled for ONE FALL!

The crowd pops as a bopping beat is heard. Two tiger outlines, one orange and one green, slide onto the big screen from either side and overlap each other. The JabbarTV logo appears on screen over a series of video clips showing the Jabbar twins performing crazy wrestling moves on each other in all manner of locations.

The brothers walk out with a phone and a camera each, recording the crowd and recording themselves recording the crowd. Chakir, in a red shirt and blue shorts, gloves and boots with a fringe undercut, holds the phone, talking to their subscribers. Chelem, in a blue shirt and red shorts, gloves and boots with his hair slicked back, holds the camera, taking in the Melanesian crowd.

Briar Lane: Introducing first! From Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, at a combined weight of 381 pounds, Chakir and Chelem, JABBAAAAR TTTVVVVVVV!

A.B.: The brothers Jabbar, who have had a tumultuous time in the Madhouse.

Dominga: Tumultuous is putting it lightly, Alf. Since day one, all these two tontos have been doing is getting DESTROYED! Mostly physically, sometimes verbally, sometimes multiple times in one night! I love it, but you know what I would love even more? GETTING THESE STUPID INFLUENCERS OUT OF MY BEAUTIFUL PRO WRESTLING!

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Zadie Chen vs Svetlana Volkov

A chorus of chanting voices plays over the speakers. Chen walks out of the entranceway and onto the field to the rhythm of a drum and a loud pop from the Honiarans.

Briar Lane: On the way to the ring, from Singapore, standing 5 feet 5 and weighing in at 130 pounds, ZADIIIEEEEE CHEEEEEENNN!

Shamoon: I really want to know what she and Athiambo talked about.

A.B.: She said it politely, but it's none of our business. All that matters is that she's healthy.

Dominga: Not for long.

Chen sprints towards a trampoline near the ring, leaps onto it and is sent flipping over the top rope and into the ring, where she lands in superhero fashion. She quickly stands and bows to the fans before looking at the tunnel.

A heartbeat is heard. Slow at first, only to speed up at the sound of a distant wolf howl and faster still as growls follow, growing less and less distant. And then comes the guitar riff, fast-paced and intense, drums beating in resemblance to heavy feet hitting the floor in escape and lighter, more numerous paws giving chase.

The camera films the empty entranceway as Volkov slowly rises into view, snarling at it, her half-shaved mohawk, face-paint and black eyes giving her the visage of a warrior of the post-apocalypse.

Briar Lane: And from Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, Russia, standing 5 feet 9 and weighing in at 200 pounds, the Siberian Beast, SVETLANAAA VOOOOLKOOOVVV!!!

Volkov marches across the field toward the ring.

Shamoon: That is one scary human being.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Justification

The big screen shows a cameraman's feed.

A.B.: And there's Zadie Chen on her way to the ring for some one-on-one action.

Dominga: She's looking healthy for a kidnapping victim.

Chen walks with purpose through the hall, slipping on her red and purple gloves and adjusting her floral domino mask. Chloe Davis comes running behind her.

Davis: Zadie? Zadie, wait up!

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Contributions

A cameraman's feed captures Athiambo's entry into the stadium's dark halls and the interception by the purple-haired interviewer Chloe Davis.

Davis: Athiambo, a moment of your time, please?

Athiambo stops and looks right through the smaller woman, who gulps.

Davis: Uh... w-we just saw you abandon Firyali to be viciously beaten by the Madness-

Athiambo: Who?

Davis: F-Firyali, your scheduled opponent for tonight who was just-

Athiambo: Who?

Some people in the crowd laugh nervously.

Davis (frowns): ... I'm sorry, are you doing a... bit... b-because of the whole... owl thing?

Athiambo turns her body, and Davis flinches, shielding her face with one arm while the other continues to hold the microphone.

Athiambo (leans in): Who is Firyali?

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Firyali vs Athiambo

A Taarab track plays over the speakers. The Albino Angel, in her red crop-top jacket and sunglasses of the same shade, and her golden tights with black diamond patterns, comes out onto the pitch and poses, looking up with her hand, wrapped in black wrist tape, pointing at the sky. She slowly brings it down, pointing at the ring and standing with a side profile while smirking.

Briar Lane: The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL! On the way to the ring, from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, standing 5 feet 8 and weighing in at 155 pounds, FIIIIIIIIIYALLLIIIIII!!!!

Firyali struts toward the ring, swinging her shoulders and taking wide steps.

Dominga: Look at this idiota.

Shamoon: I mean, she's confident.

Dominga: She looks ridiculous! Tonye Carrera's a legend, but why are half of his students such goofballs?

Firyali climbs on the apron and looks out at the Honiaran faithful. She walks to the corner and hops onto it, pointing at the sky once more before descending.

PSW Madhouse Episode 5 - Say Hello To The Solomons

- 27 January 2031

A stadium sits along the coastal highway, an open-air complex of vibrant blue, yellow, and green steel. It is framed by towering white light masts and sweeping roofs shaped like traditional ocean-going canoes. PSW and Madhouse iconography is draped over every ledge.

Inside, ten thousand mostly Malenesian spectators fill two long, brightly coloured Grandstands facing across a sky-blue eight-lane running track that wraps around a lush green football pitch at the centre of which sits the wrestling ring.

A.B.: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Psycho Style Wrestling's Monday Night Madhouse! I'm Alf Balducci; the livewire, Dominga Alvarez, to my right; the ever-analytical Aazif Shamoon to my left. With just 20 days to go until the Valentine's Brawl in Dunedin, New Zealand, we are coming to you LIVE from the capital city of the Solomon Islands, Honiara!

Dominga: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Shamoon: Great to be here; I just wish it wasn't so hot.

Dominga: Aren't you Saudi Arabian? Heat should be in your blood.

Shamoon: I'm Canadian. My blood likes to snow, not sand.

Dominga: Ugh...

Shamoon: What do you mean by "Ugh"?

Psycho Extras - Movie Magic

In the heart of Sambuca City, in the Vodka region of the Volmun Isles, Paul Grizzly, the Holder of Dominion, steps out of Constantine Medical, still holding the phone. Except... this is not Constantine Medical, nor is he in Sambuca City. It is the neighbouring Sambuca Town, and the building he just stepped out of is an incomplete model of the real thing.

PSW Fight Pit Episode 4 - Contingency

An O.R.D.R.L.I. feed appears on the two big screens, showing Vito Montani, Jeffrey Campbell and Palesa Jeyi. The former is pacing.

Campbell: Vito, calm down, mate.

Montani (grabs Campbell's shirt): CALM DOWN?!

Campbell: Grizzly's not a bloody idiot; he's just chancing his arm. He's bluffing!

Cyrus Reed returns to gorilla with a phone in hand. Grizzly lets go of Campbell and snatches it.

Montani (dialling and putting the phone on speaker): Tony! Tony, I need ya to get Cody and his mom-

Grizzly (voice): Tony can't come to the phone right now.

PSW Fight Pit Episode 4 - Cornered

David Bekker: Ladies and gentlemen, representing the Streetwise Krew, please welcome... VITO MOOOONTANIII!!!

The Newark native, shirtless and shredded, strolls down the ramp.

SDS: What's that in his hands?

DS: Hopefully, a written apology, a letter of resignation AND a statement of guilt.

Montani enters the ring and gestures for Bekker to hand over his microphone. The announcer obeys and scrambles out of the ring as quickly as his pudgy form allows.

Montani: MANILA!

The crowd pops and the name drop.

Montani: How ya doin'?

PSW Fight Pit Episode 4 - Cop

The Wallace's theme continues blasting through the speaker as they step through the curtain into gorilla. They are greeted by the loud, one-man applause of the General Manager, Jeffery Campbell. A PA shows up with water bottles and towels.

Campbell (holds up hands): Gents... thank you! From the bloody bottom of me heart, thanks a heap! After all the flamin' crap I've put up with tonight, it was a ripper to have some good, clean WRESTLIN'!

Axel (wiping his face): Well, about as clean as you could get with the witch lady and her golems around.

PSW Fight Pit Episode 4 - The Battalion Bros vs Team Wallace

SDS: From Tecton to Tag Teams, here's David Bekker!

David Bekker: The following is a No. 1 contender's Tag Team Match, and it is scheduled for one fall! The winner of the match will challenge for the titles in next week's End of January Special!

The crowd pops.

Pyro shoots up from the stage, screeching loudly before falling back down and exploding, followed by a grungy rock track playing. Two men draped in camo walk out. A well-built Caucasian with a bandana and a ginger beard, and a shorter, leaner, brown-skinned luchador with a camo mask and blonde mohawk.

They walk down together, slapping hands with fans on either side.

David Bekker: Introducing first, at a combined weight of 196 kilos, Major Mallory, El Soldado, the Battalion Bros!

DS: This is ridiculous, Darryl! These two fools got beat by Tom and Dick on episode 1! Why do they get a title shot?

SDS: Well, as it turns out, this was meant to be a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. However, Tom, Dick & Harry got destroyed when they went looking for a fight with the Madness on Monday, so they were taken out.

DS: That's not fair!

SDS: Maybe they should have gotten their priorities straight. Besides, Mallory and Soldado got the bounce-back win last week against the Wild Thornes. They've earned this opportunity.

PSW Fight Pit Episode 4 - Seth and Kraken Khan vs Dennis Zázrak (c)

SDS: Ladies and gentlemen, if you're just joining us, Johnny Cyclone was just viciously attacked in the parking bay by Kruscher, who powerslammed Cyclone through the sunroof of a parked car.

DS: It was sick!

SDS: Cyclone has been loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital. We are currently awaiting an update on his condition.

DS: Hopefully some sense was knocked into him.

SDS: I'm about to knock some into you.

David Bekker: The following contest is a Handicap Match scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Psycho Style Wrestling Tectonic Championship!

The crowd pops.

DS: I forgot about this paródia grotesca!
