PSW Fight Pit Episode 1 - Title Talk

DS: Darryl, I can't get over that Cyclone kid. I thought he was done, and he just ran through Kruscher at the end and picked him up. That was superhuman!

SDS: Indeed it was, partner. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be challenging for the World Dominion title in the very near future, whether it's Paul Grizzly or Vito Montani.

Santos shakes his head at the mention of Montani.

SDS: Now, we've already been feeling the fallout of the end of Ascension, but two big title changes took place earlier in the show.

DS: That's right! We witnessed perfection when Dennis Zázrak took Tecton, even after his pathetic loser of an ex-partner, Talon, jumped him!

SDS: We'll hear from the new Tectonic Champion later tonight, just like we'll hear from the new Tag Team Champions, Pandemonium, very shortly. And Diogo, you and I, we're no strangers to tag team gold. Although I will admit you're more experienced in that department than me.

DS (smirks and nods, while holding up his fingers): 7 times, baby!

SDS: Have you ever been in or seen as one-sided a bout as we saw on Sunday in that tag team ladder match?

DS: Hell, no! You have Axel Wallace, probably the best wrestler in the world. You got his little brother, Oscar Z. Wallace, a thoroughbred, an Olympian. They walk in as the champions, the Tag Team Supreme! They get decimated, dominated and destroyed by one man, Hổn Loạn. I can't even call him a man, he's HUGE! He comes in, takes one in each hand, chokeslam to both, then he sets up the ladder, then you see his twin, Mộng Dữ, and he's even bigger, and he comes in, climbs the ladder and takes the belts. Didn't even need to lift a finger against the Wallaces. Then you see mama, Tình Nhân, and she's standing there, and her boys are getting down on one knee, and all I'm thinking is, "Damn! She's over 60 with a bad back, still carrying those PEITAMA! You just know those boys were breastfed pro-"

SDS (wide eyes): Okay! Katrina Petrov is in the back, awaiting the arrival of the aforementioned FORMER Champions, Team Wallace.

Stroligo suddenly picks up the papers in front of him and repeatedly slaps Santos in the head with them,

DS: Stop it. Stop it! Ow! It's true, though! Those things are huge-Ow!

The camera cuts away. We find Petrov eagerly waiting by a set of double doors. In walks Axel, clad in a white shirt and red track pants, his long brown hair tied into a bun, and Oscar, in a full black tracksuit. Both with duffel bags over their shoulders.

Petrov: Axel! Oscar! 5 days removed from Ascension, I wanted to get your thoughts on losing the Tag Team titles to Pandemonium on a night where it seemed like something of a dark cloud rose over the PSW landscape?

Axel (frowns and briefly at Oscar): Bit dramatic, isn't it? Katrina, I don't know anything about any "dark clouds". It was a beautiful day in Sambuca, just like it's a beautiful night here... (looks at camera) in Tequila!

The crowd pops at their town's name.

DS: Cheap.

Axel: Now, as far as Ascension goes. I can tell you it wasn't fun, but it's also not the first time I've lost a title, and it won't be the last time that WE (looks at Oscar again, who nods) win them. I can promise you that.

Petrov: You sound very confident, but... Axel, Pandemonium- Not even Pandemonium- Hổn Loạn finished you both in two moves. It wasn't even close.

Crowd: Ooooh...

SDS: It was not.

Oscar looks away, frowning with his chevron moustache twitching.

Petrov: In your opinion, what happened?

Axel (momentarily looks up at the ceiling): When we were growing up, one of the top teams in all the land was the original Pandemonium, Aimhreit and Mulad. Those two demons tore through divisions all over the world, and we went into that match against this new pair expecting the same, and we were prepared for war. But to paraphrase an old saying, everyone's got a plan until there's a hand around your throat. No point in dwelling on it. Just have to learn.

Petrov: What do you expect to learn when the new Tag Team Supreme make their address tonight?

Axel: Well, if we could tell you, we wouldn't be learning, and actions tend to speak louder than words, and I don't expect those two to have all that many. Tình Nhân on other hand? I imagine off of her... chest.

The crowd laughs.

DS: Oh, so he can say it?

Petrov: Do you expect to learn anything from Tình Nhân has to say?

Axel (squints): From what she has to say, but even more from what she doesn't.

Oscar nods.

Petrov: Oscar, is there anything you'd like to add?

Oscar: ... Like Axel said, we're going to be listening and learning.

DS: Oof.

Petrov: Okay, then. Axel, I know you've never been one for behind-the-curtain elements or online chatter, but we can't ignore the elephant in the room. How do you feel about having become the first-ever Tag Team Champions at Saturday Night Super Fight in November, being drafted together as the 2nd overall pick -Jeffrey Campbell's first pick- and then losing in your first defence? That has to weigh on your mind. Especially with Tag Team titles floating between the two brands and, as we saw on Monday, potential contenders coming out of the woodwork in these early days of our company.

DS: Double oof.

SDS: It's an important question.

Oscar frowns and purses his lips.

Axel (blinks and then chuckles): You do not hold back, do you? Look, I have a pretty good relationship with Jeff Campbell, and we had a very long chat when we came back through that curtain without our belts. We both had a lot of expectations going into this, and those expectations were shattered on Sunday.

He looks at Oscar again, who nods.

DS: Does he do anything else?

Axel: Frankly, I'm glad they were. This isn't a game, and all the pageantry of the draft doesn't mean a damn thing when the bell rings. As for all these other teams popping up? Good! A healthy tag division is the beating heart of any pro wrestling organisation worth its salt, but they all better understand that if they want a shot at those twin terrors holding our belts, then they're going through us.

Oscar nods once again.

Petrov: Axel, Oscar, thank you very much and good luck in your chase.

Axel smiles and leaves. Oscar follows.

Petrov: There you have it. Darryl, Diogo, back to you.
