SDS: We are LIVE from the Mall in Manila!
The feed switches to a cameraman standing in front of the commentary desk.
SDS: Welcome, everyone, to the Psycho Style Wrestling Friday Night Fight Pit. I'm "Striking" Darryl Stroligo, here with the Carnival King, Diogo Santos!
DS: I love this place, Darryl! The minas they got are second only to what we got in Brazil.
SDS: You're going to have to take off that helmet at some point, and I will be ready.
Santos gulps and grips the helmet as Stroligo stares him down.
SDS (looks into the camera): The Valentine's Brawl in Dunedin, New Zealand is set for 3 weeks from tomorrow, and PSW's Pacific Island tour continues. Next week, we're sailing to Suva, Fiji. But enough about the future, we hav to talk about the immediate past, don't we?
DS: Yeah, last week, Paul Grizzly, the champ, the man, putting the whole roster on notice, destroying EVERYBODY in sight.
SDS: It was utter carnage. Johnny Cyclone, Kruscher, the Honey Badger, Kala Kahuna, even GM Jeffery Campbell, all casualties of the Holder of Dominion's rampage.
DS: IT WAS ALL MONTANI'S FAULT! And Campbell's too. What the hell is he thinking, keeping him as the No. 1 contender and bringing him here?
SDS: Don't forget, Montani's tag team partner, Cody K. Olwagen, was hospitalised by Grizzly at Ascension. That's the entire reason for this. Grizzly started this war.
SDS: Don't forget, Montani's tag team partner, Cody K. Olwagen, was hospitalised by Grizzly at Ascension. That's the entire reason for this. Grizzly started this war.
DS: Yeah, well, he's going to end it! I have it on good authority that he's here tonight.
SDS: Ah, so he's not here.
DS: I just told you a reliable source told me he's definitely here.
SDS: But you're full of it, so I know he's not in the building and won't be at all..
DS: Whatever, we'll see.
David Bekker: The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Some bossa nova music plays, and out walks a well-built Pardo man with cornrows in his hair and wearing yellow and green shorts. He cracks his neck and bounces on his feet before walking briskly down. The fingers on his left hand are taped up.
David Bekker: His opponent, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, standing 178 centimetres and weighing in at 99 kilos, Marcelo Sousa!
DS: Hey, look, it's Luisa Festa's boyfriend. I wonder if she even remembers him after that beating she took on Monday?
SDS: Will you stop?
DS: When he finally does something, sure.
DS: When he finally does something, sure.
SDS: He did plenty last week against El Cirujano
DS: He nearly got his fingers torn off and was made to tap out like a bichano. Meanwhile, his girl getting title matches.
Sousa rolls into the ring and goes to his corner, shaking his arms and wrists.
SDS: Well, maybe he might find himself in title conversation by winning this match.
DS: Maybe...
A deep, rumbling futuristic track plays. The two big screens on the stage each show a speed-o-meter, which transitions into a vortex. A flash of light and the first-person camera rushes through a subway, exits onto a busy street at even greater speeds.
David Bekker: And the opponent-
An explosion and a blurry streak of blue, black and orange rushes down the ramp and circles the ring 5 times, before stopping at the base of the ramp. Vités runs forward and slides feet-first into the ring.
David Bekker: -from Port-au-Prince, Gônave-Azuei, Haiti, standing 175 centimetres and weighing in at 86 kilos,-
Vités raises a hand in the air, his eyes glowing amber behind his black mask and drops it.
David Bekker: DANYS VIIIIIIITÉÉÉÉÉÉÉS!!!!
A trail of blue pyro runs down the ramp mimicking his previous path. The Manila crowd explodes.
DS: THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
SDS: A superstar entrance if there ever was one from the man who challenges for the Thunderweight Championship at the Valentine's Brawl!
Vités regards Sousa a moment before extending his right hand for a shake. Sousa looks at it for a moment and then reaches out...
DS: Hithimwiththetooslow. Hithimwiththetooslow.
... and accepts the handshake. The crowd cheers.
SDS: You love to see it.
DS: Who the hell is 'you'?
The two men nod and back away from each other, moving in to their respective stances. Referee Dan Masters call for the bell.
SDS: Now this is almost an old school MMA clash. Sousa, a grapple with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with some Mat Wrestling. Vités a striker with a background in Taekwondo, Karate and Kickboxing.
DS: Yeah, and normally it's over if it goes to ground, but, unlike Sousa, Vités isn't a bichano. Also, he actually beat Cirujano.
SDS: I think it would be in both men's interests to end this one quickly.
Sousa immediately shoots for the Single-Leg Takedown and Vités... just isn't there.
DS: STUPIDO!
Sousa lands on his face. He shakes his head, quickly gets up, turning around into the Haitian Sensation's signature Running Single Leg Dropkick.
DS: OOHHOHHOOOOOO!!!
SDS: FLAMING DASH BY VITÉS!!! And there's the cover!
The crowd yells in shock and awe at the blinding speed.
Masters: 1! 2! 3! Ring the bell!
David Bekker: Here is your winner, DANYS VITÉÉÉÉÉÉS!!!
The speedster hops to his feet so Masters can raise his hand in victory. The crowd pops in awe
SDS: A statement victory!
DS: HE SQUASHED HIM!
SDS: We're not supposed to use that word.
DS: I sure hope his girl wasn't watching.
Vités walks back to Sousa, who is sitting up and spitting blood into his injured left hand. Vités reaches down to pull him up.
SDS: Great sportsmanship by the no.1 contender.
DS: BOOOO!
Sousa glares and smacks the hand away.
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
The Brazilian rolls out of the ring and flicks his hands in frustration, marching back up the ramp.
SDS: Oh. I mean, I understand the frustration, but-
DS: You don't understand nothing, companheiro. When's the last time you got beat in 30 seconds?
SDS: When I started training to fight. It's just part of the process. You just pick yourself up and keep going.
DS: Oh, he's going alright.
The crowd starts going into a frenzy as Vités watches Sousa's exit with mild disappointment.
SDS: Wait, a minute...
DS: Darryl... Darryl, it's-
SDS: EL DEMONIO DE LAS HELADAS! The Thunderweight Champion is here!
DS: I thought the Madhouse were in the Solomon Islands.
SDS: Vités has no idea.
Masters notices and Heladas knocks him out. Vités sees the ref collapse in the corner of his eye and turns around into a-
SDS: FROSTBITE! The Frostbite Cutter by He Who Wields Thunder!
DS: Who let him in here? What's all that security for?
SDS: Montani!
DS: That palhaço again? So this is his faul- Wait, now what's he doing?
The blue body-painted Demon raises his hands and breathes frost air into his palms and fingers. The frost hardens into sharp icicles.
SDS: Oh no. No, not this!
Heladas, his icy blue eyes staring daggers, reaches down and grabs Vités black-masked face, sliding his fingers over it.
SDS: Heladas is slicing Vités' face open! HE IS MUTILATING CHAMPION!
Heladas wipes the Haitian's blood on his bare chest. He then picks up the Thunderweight title, lying by the edge of the ring and raises it. The crowd rains down venomous boos at him.
DS: GET SOMEBODY OUT HERE! That's our challenger, dammit!
Security finally rushes down to the ring. Heladas exits and crawls under the ring. Some guards follow; the rest see to Vités, whose mask and face are shredded. Medics soon follow.
SDS: Heladas said his next victim's blood would be on Vités' hands. He didn't say who that victim would be.
DS: Bastardo! There's no way Vités can challenge him now.
SDS: It's cowardly and disgusting.
DS: I hate to say it, but... it's also genius. Damn.
